In terms of the overall art quality, it's easy to say that this is a well=drawn picture with good colouring and some fairly dynamic angles. I've said in the past that I usually give credit for being able to capture the art style of the source material. With this picture, while it's clear that there's variation on the style, it's never so much that it spoils my overall enjoyment of the image.

As for what the image is about, let me say right now that I tend to judge pictures not only on the quality of the picture, but on that picture's ability to make me feel things. To cause me to emote in some way that's appropriate to what's being shown. And this picture has that in spades. When I look at this, I get two distinct feelings. One is for Twilight. I cannot help but feel sorry for her here. All hope lost, her closest friends turning on her. Her tears. This image is one of melancholy that I will readily admit manages to tug at my heartstrings greatly.

The other thing it makes me feel is one of hatred for Discord. now anyone who knows me will tell you that I already dislike this character. But seeing him in a situation like this, where he's a source of misery for a character I like. That' just tips it over the edge for me into full-blown hatred.

I cannot say that this is the best-drawn picture of these characters I've seen on DeviantArt. Nor can I say that the situation being shown is original compared to other art I've seen. However, neither of those points is capable of detracting from the more positive qualities I mentioned before.

For being both well-drawn and succeeding in making me feel strong emotions, I give this picture a hearty reccommendation. A worthy picture from a worthy artist.

I think this is the best image on here that actually expresses the intensity in Twilight's mood change in the story. It's really well done!

That Fluttershy is probably my favorite. Her expression I'm just in love with. Even though she's being a jerk and all, I still wanna pinch those wibble cheekies.
