this art work is incredible. though i have seen quite a few other artists make similar artworks based on their fandoms, this one made my laugh the most by far. i also like how well the characters from the show fit with the personalities of the movie characters. i also like how you made Sombra look comical and evil at the same time, blending the two together. the only thing i have a small problem with is that Trixe could looked a little more frightened. she looks more confused then anything, i don't know thats just me. what i like most about this artwork is the background. i love how the light shining down from the ceiling look like crystal spikes. the cooler of the cavern also really fits what i believe is Sombra's personality. all in all, this is a great piece of work.
Very well done! The background is very detailed and reminds many viewers of King Sombra's dark lair (or even the place where he was imprisoned by the Princesses). It looks very dark and filled with tall jagged obsidian crystals and the lighting (or lack thereof) really adds to the dark gloomy effect. Forgive me for not knowing her name (my guess is Trixie?), but her expression really shows her shock at having Sombra's head so close (maybe she's saying something along the lines of "Whaa-!"). Plus with the way that both characters are placed, seems like the screenshot was taken during movement. I love how the manes flow in the air (again partly due to movement of characters) and Sombra's mane resembles smoke/shadows. Love it overall, Mickeymonster, great work.
I like this picture because it fits with the whole fan theory that the Alicorn Amulet was made by King Sombra, and by putting it on Trixie was becoming more and more corrupt the same way people get corrupted by The Ring trough Sauron's will in The Lord of The Rings.
Wow, you went hardcore detailed on this one. O_o It's so smooth and clean, so high quality, it really does look like a screenshot, or like it was made by a completely different artist! This is amazing! Seriously I can see it animated in a musical number. And did you do that background too? I-I can't tell, everything here is so freaking made of awesome!
Well, sure, it's not as detailed and crisp as the characters themselves in this image, but they look like they belong in a Disney animation! So with that in mind, of course it would take a high standard background to match. You background looks great and fits the mood well, so it's good enough to me.
it is indeed quite impressing the picture since you catch the shades and light to make it look like a piece of one video + the idea of the song is really good, I haven't see the movie in years but well maybe I'll re-watch it later, so far mate, you made an outstanding work here with the recreation of one scene of the movie
